So Or a Day in the Life of a fucking Or Rainy's very uh uh no good uh terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

SPEAKER_02Oh no. Sometimes you cannot get comfortable no matter how you sit. And that iron throne, let's be honest. It's made of like fire-burned swords, I guess.
SPEAKER_07I don't imagine the seat is made of I I gotta imagine the seat is probably plain. And they just did I mean the the swords go down onto the floor.

I'd like get up to the top because then and I'd lose my balance because I'm trying to like balance a glass of wine and a plate of chicken and some soup and good prey. All of a sudden I slip and everything goes wah. And that's okay, hold on. I go down like the worst episode of Plinko ever.
SPEAKER_07All the crafts people in the realm serve at your whim. Have one of them conjure you up a fucking TV tray.

SPEAKER_07So, this is what we're gonna do instead of talking about this episode. I have to tell you, I did not like this. I mean You didn't like this episode at all? No. There were some some fun things that happened, and then there were some choices that were made that I I'm I'm really not entirely sure why. Like the the nighting sequence shouldn't have had a comedic tone.
SPEAKER_02It was the music.

SPEAKER_02Ranera. Do we no Ranera learns the situation in King's Landing is not what she anticipated. Unable to locate her enemies, and with demands coming from all sides, Ranera must navigate a delicate balance between appeasing her supporters and consolidating her rule.

Um and then didity did and Corless and his boys chatting on the beach. We see that scene again. Mazaria. Huh? Huh? I'm remembering the name. Yeah, good. And Rainey are chatting, and then Mazaria and Damon are chatting, and she ends with that really not everything is about you, Damon. We see Eamon and Allie talking. Eamon and Allie. That's the new show on Nickelodeon.
SPEAKER_07Does Nickelodeon still exist? Yes. Also, uh wait, wait a minute. Nickelodeon still exists. Where do you think SpongeBob comes from?

And then so they're like, Well, then bring me somebody else. So they bring him auto, and uh, she does that hacky two swing, two swing being.

SPEAKER_07Yeah. So Rainy's standing in her bedroom talking about being the king's daughter, really. Having a little moment, and then all of a sudden we hear Damon go. Yeah, Orman Ormond capitulated.
SPEAKER_02But first you have to understand, she's standing there, she's she's looking mistily into the distance. I don't know what that means. She's like, the air is thick with ghosts. Happy ghosts, but you know. Okay, yeah, yeah, sure. Uh Orman surrendered.
SPEAKER_07So also we got this boy, so she goes to see him and he doesn't say anything. Well, you gotta talk. You know, you're you could be dead. I didn't dead you. What do you think? And he just stares at her. And then all of a sudden.
SPEAKER_02He's looking at her like I'm just a kid.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So they're gonna throw him into a chamber. I mean, there are worse things.
SPEAKER_07We also hear him go ever so slightly. Uh, there's a little bit of a a tremble, uh, I guess. I don't know what you call that. Tremble, sure, audible tremble.
SPEAKER_02Like a nervous laugh.
SPEAKER_07Anyway, she heads to a goddamn meetings. You know, fucking meetings. Like, she goes to the meeting. Oh, we've got no money. Who knows where the money is? Well, it could be Ty Tyle Tyland Lannister might know. Um, well, he would have known, but he also would have told Lord Jasper, guess what? Both dead, damn it. Well, maybe not dead. We don't know where Thailand is. We assume he's dead because of the battle of the gullet. And then she's like, Well, I need to get my hat put on real good.
SPEAKER_02I need a party because it's all about me. And I went, Oh, this feels really timely. So, hmm, okay, do you do everybody's starving, and she needs a party because she's the queen.
SPEAKER_07Well, she claims it's to to confirm her legitimacy.

SPEAKER_07So the gun's coronation was shit. If I remember correctly, it was pretty fucking epic. There was a dragon in a building and people got trampled. It was pretty fun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was. There was, you know. There were some things that went down. I'm sure there was beef bowls of brown.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah. Or some of the later meals that we might see might see. She also says that she's no longer dealing with the small console. She had a dragon stone because they all thought that they uh she she said that she was betrayed by them.
SPEAKER_02I don't Okay, but hang on, before this. So after she so she's like, before that, she's like, This is I need the coronation, and Mysti is like, uh nah, that's not gonna go over well. We've got pirates running around, the greeneries are empty, what are we gonna do? And Randy gets this look on her face. She's like, if this is being queen, goodness. I take it back. I take it back. And then she's like, This is just the start of my fucking day.
SPEAKER_07And oh, and they'll just they also discuss Eamon's whereabouts, and they discuss how he murdered the strongs, and Damon actually looks a little bummed. Yeah. Like, oh, that guy was pretty cool, he gave me food. Oh, and then he goes, Did you do you remember seeing like a witch or a maester of a sort? There, there was a woman. That's my Matt Smith, by the way.
SPEAKER_04Oh, very well. Did they say anything about a witch?
SPEAKER_07A maester of sorts? A little less swiny, maybe. I don't know.

SPEAKER_07Sheep ended up becoming a really critical part of this episode. What do we do about the sheep?
SPEAKER_02So she's going to see Alicent. And she's like, Where'd you hide the gold? She's like, What gold? You know, the gold. She's like, I didn't there's no uh I don't know what the fuck you're talking about. And Elaine's like, Yeah, you get out of here. We don't know what you're talking about. I don't want to stay here anymore. There's rats and I am unhappy always. I wanted to have chickens. They're talking, and she's talking about how Laris and Aegon are fucked. He's disfigured, and Rainey's like, don't care, still want to kill him.
SPEAKER_07Declare him dead, and then if he tries to rise up, even with Laris' help, you can claim it's an imposter and just move on.
SPEAKER_02Now, that should have been her first clue about imposters. Oh my god!
SPEAKER_07Foreshadowing is a literary demonstration. What happens next? I lost track. Oh no, because my literal notes are something, something, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Because some shit she's like, no, you have to stay here. And when Amon's found and the challenge is removed, she kind of ear quotes that verbally, removed, you can go free. But for now, you're here.

So she's walking through the the palace later on, having a discussion. Was it was she talking in the seria at this point, or was it someone else? I can't call.
SPEAKER_02Was it Alinda? Have they talked about Alinda yet?
SPEAKER_07She was talking in the seria about where Elinda was. She wanted to because Elinda's her personal handmaiden, and uh all of a sudden she starts hallucinating like Jace in the palace. And I'm like, it's gonna be one of those episodes.
SPEAKER_02So Rainey's saying she wants to lie about finding Aegon there dead. Uh-huh. And she asks her to bring Oh, this is she's talking to Lorax? What's his name?

SPEAKER_07She went to bed and then got up in the night and wandered into Damon's bed because she's called kind of so I think this might be dinner.

SPEAKER_02Alinda is there now. Uh, so she's helping her get dressed, and they're trying to decide on accessories. This was an unnecessary I mean, this whole thing. Oh, yeah, yeah. She's getting dressed for her anointing inauguration.
SPEAKER_07No, no, she's not even doing that. She's fucking doing like oh yeah, meet and greet. She's holding court, you know.
SPEAKER_02Holding court, yep, yep. She's like, should I wear a sword? No jewelry. And just as she gets up she gets up to look at the chain and realizes yes, that's when she stands up and she goes, it's that we've all known it, ladies. All of you who month monthly do that thing that you do. She stands up and you know what happened. You know what happened because it's happened. It's happened to you. You stand up and you go, Well, fuck. My day is now fucked. This means she now has to not just go in front of the peasants and be super chill, but she has to do it while having insane cramps. And this was the realism I kind of loved. Yeah, this would suck.
SPEAKER_07She is visibly uncomfortable for the next uh batch of episode minutes, right?

So Rainey says, We shall have a banquet. I wrote here in my notes later at a meeting. Rainey continues to enjoy her period.
SPEAKER_02And she gets some tea for the cramps from which she ignores. Yeah. Yes. Well, she looks at it like eh, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02So it turns out Vela uh has come back. She had maybe that was it. Maybe she was coming back.

SPEAKER_07Or at least I I still have now watched any of that program.

SPEAKER_07Well, this meet this meeting is is like the most conversational and um kind of thing that because Rainey is like I've been waiting so long to be queen. I've been waiting so long to be queen. I'm finally queen. Look what we had to do, we had to go through so much, so much sacrifice. Allison comes in, she's like, Hey, can you send my father's remains to Old Town so she he can be buried next to my mother? And Rainy goes, Yeah. And then she goes, Hey, can I ask you a question? How do you queen? Yeah. It's like she's like, You begged and pleaded and fought and killed, and people died, and you just be like, Hey, I'm not entirely sure how to do this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's so weird us being together here, right? Wow, imagine that. I thought for sure Rainey was gonna say, Will you be my advisor? Uh kind of happened. Yeah, yeah. And she's just like, Sometimes you have to make hard decisions. And Rainy's like, I get the struggle, but not me. And it's like, okay, we'll see. The dinner party.
SPEAKER_07This is great. Everyone here is taking a vow to me, some later than others. Waka waka. Everyone laughs. Um they're all glazinger. Mm-hmm. A lot of ass kissing going on. Two in particular, whoever, I your grace. It's so nice to finally have been able to sniff your bottom.

SPEAKER_07So, anyway, on her way out of the banquet hall, after she's told the wealthy folks that she's gonna send her gold cloaks in to raid their stockhouses and take stuff back. Take it back to the people. This little fella named Torrin Manderley stops her.
SPEAKER_02Who is this guy? Did he win a contest to be in House of Dragons or something?
SPEAKER_03I don't know who the fuck he is. And I don't know why he's significant. Mike knows. You might recognize him from some of the Harry Potter movies. He was Jacob Kowalski. Alright, I gotta go. In um the the tame your beast dragons thingies. Um Goldbergs. He played Marvin Goldberg that did beat Uncle.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I didn't I didn't watch the Goldbergs, and I didn't uh did I only saw the first uh Fantastical Beasts, and that was a long time ago. So anyway.
SPEAKER_07So anyway, he's like, did you want them to know that you actually were the reason that the blockade happened? Hmm? And then she just kind of goes and the scene ends, which great, thanks.
SPEAKER_02Damon approves of the things that she said and did. There's plucky music, so you know this these scenes aren't so serious, I guess. And Rainey is sending him out to get more houses and more gold.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, he's sending them specifically to the Vale because she's like, the Vale Lady Erin promised us a dragon and she hadn't delivered, so maybe she'll pay us in coin. And then she's like, we also go to all the great houses and get their tribute as well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and Damon's like, we have six dragons, we could have the whole fucking world, basically.
SPEAKER_07So and she's like, This is nothing. Let's do what we gotta do first to make our city run, and then we'll talk about the greater place.
SPEAKER_02And the funniest thing is as he's walking, okay. So, okay, so there's a whole scene where they're talking in Valerian. My take on this is somebody spent a great deal of time coming up with this language and said, Okay, we're gonna use the fuck out of it in this at least one episode. Yeah, so they have a whole conversation in Valerian, which A does not further the plot, B is not interesting, and C probably took them a really long time to learn, and I feel bad for them because it's it should have at least been something interesting.
SPEAKER_07Well, it is kind of cool, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But in like a like a Klingon sort of way, yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_07But well, here's the funny thing about uh High Valerian is that it is a real language, it is one of two languages created by a fella called David Peterson. He also created the Dothraki language.
SPEAKER_02See? But he's very, very proud of it. And he should be.
SPEAKER_07It's literally his job to make languages, which is fucked up.
SPEAKER_02You know what? I know somebody who for that that job would be perfect, it would be absolute perfection. This person would absolut this they would thrive anyway. Um so he just as they're wrapping up dismissive no as they're wrapping up, he's like walking away, and from this from the assigned you here, you still have to kill Darren. Just look at the I wonder if I'm like, I wonder if he just threw that in, they just left it.
SPEAKER_07I bet you it was a throw it in there. So she's standing in Darren's room, staring at him while he's sleeping. Looking at his bird carving, and I wonder at this point, she's like, Why would he do that?
SPEAKER_02Why was the bird carving some sort of telltale sign?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Maybe that he was just artistic and she saw him as a person instead of a threat to the throne. That's really good, Mike. That's really good. Supposed to be his her half-brother, so you know.

SPEAKER_02She's enraged and she's gonna get revenge, and they get there, and the villagers are at the Renfrew, and they're all cheering for her, yay! And so she goes up to the wagon and stands on it to give a big speech. I was waiting for her to get shot with an arrow. Just just just clip her ear, um, just enough to get the sympathy of the people.
SPEAKER_07She gets good god, I really didn't want to talk about that. And at the banquet, it turns out they had staged uh thing, and you can see like Renera's just grinning up a storm, and everyone looks really nervous, and then it never happens because uh well the rats show up then so she's handing out food from the wagon to the villagers.
SPEAKER_02Okay, this is fine. At this point, I realized I had heard that there was a twist in this episode, and I kept waiting for it.
SPEAKER_07Did you? What is it? Yeah, what's a twist? What's going on?
SPEAKER_02There isn't one. Listener, listen to me. There's fucking nothing. Well, I wouldn't c I would it wasn't a it was not a twist of consequence at all. At all. And I saw this three times in my feeds today to the point where I'm like, stop sharing me shit about the dragon.
SPEAKER_07I don't want spoilers. What what could have been the I'm still hold on, this is this is frustrating to me because I don't think there was a well, there is a twist. It's a dumb twist. It's a dumb twist. I think the thing that's more significant happens when Corliss comes up to her in the next scene. That's bigger, that's more impactful to me uh than the scene following it. So uh Renier says uh she's walking through the palace and Corless comes up to her and says, Listen, I understand that you just um you just got done knighting all those fellas and you referred to Adam as Hull and not a Valerian. What's your fucking deal? Uh she's like, listen, again, uh day two, lot going on. Now's not the best time because born a certain way and all that shit. It's it's an issue.
SPEAKER_02Basically, Corless has like stood up for her, but she can't promote him because of optics, basically.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Uh but she would under different circumstances, and then she's he goes off. Oh, yeah. Hey, both of your kids were bastards. First, he's quiet, and then he starts shouting it. Everyone is stopped dead, and uh it's all I just wrote was oof with 13 O's. Pretty interesting, shouty thing that Corless does there. Again, we get nothing out of it.
SPEAKER_08Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07And then the this is where the thing happens.
SPEAKER_02Helena's in the gods wood. We find out.

SPEAKER_02Whatever. Looking for a chicken. She tells uh Rainey tells Allie that Darren's in the castle and that she's gonna send him north to the wall. She's not gonna kill him, but she's gonna send him north to the wall. He's gonna take the black and he's gonna keep his life and he'll never return. And she's like, and for that I should say thank you. This poor kid has been fucked up a lot, and you're gonna fuck him up more.
SPEAKER_07I especially like the fact that she said he was warded off as an infant. I haven't seen him for five years, I barely know the boy. Like, then who the fuck cares? He wasn't your kid to begin with, he was just a spawn that you gave up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I mean, if you truly cared about the boy, he would never have been given up.
SPEAKER_02So Rainey and Allie are explaining Darren, uh explaining his role to him, and I thought, has this kid said anything?

SPEAKER_07And then at the very last second, a dragon tender comes in and says, Listen, the High Tower host, instead of going home, sacked Tumbleton, and there's a dragon within the city gates.
SPEAKER_02And then taking Tumbleton.
SPEAKER_07So they took they took Tumbleton. Oh, and then R uh Renier stares at the fire for a bunch of mil moments, and I'm like, end the scene, end the scene, end the scene, and the scene, end the scene.
SPEAKER_02All I could start thinking about were dragon tenders, and I was thinking we could dip them in ranch.

Then on the back side, there was a girl on a ski lift, baseball player, basketball player.

SPEAKER_02Okay, and on the inside of the peachy folder, which was cool because the the the sleeves weren't on the bottom. Like when you put stuff in a bottom folder, like a folder where the pockets are on the bottom, things will fall out all the time.
SPEAKER_07My Wordley Wardington. There are these three images on the back of a Pichy folder. There is a woman on a ski lift, a basketball player, and a baseball player. Except it's really it's batter and catcher, and then a shooter of basketball and a defender, plus one guy standing in the back going, you got it, buddy. I don't know what you're doing.
SPEAKER_02You can imagine, oh my god, because these were made of um like heavy cardboard, like a manila folder kind of cardboard. And so you could write on them easily with a ballpoint pen or pencil. You can imagine the captions on these things too. Holy bucket.

I am tired of seeing like if you go to a restaurant and six people come to your table and apply a steak to your plate, and then apply a layer of things to your steak and a layer on top of that. I want to punch everyone involved. If someone comes to my table and dumps out a wine glass of pasta and then pours some ketchup on it, I'm going to punch everyone involved. That's not what restaurants are for. You go to a restaurant so that you can get a meal you don't have to fucking make. It's not about having a show. Oh, that salt bay, especially the little man. I want to punch all these. That steak is inedible. It looks horrible. It's shoe leather with salt on it. You wouldn't fucking eat that. You wouldn't serve it to your dog.
